@christine - it's confusing as anything: US carry-on regs are different from the UK ones [UK wants lipstick in the plastic bag, but US regulates liquid and cream only].
UK still confiscates small penknives, but they're OK in the US.
But the WORST is that US allows two carry-on items (one carry-on bag and one personal bag such as a laptop case OR a purse), and the UK limits you to ONE carry-on, which makes for some interesting shifting of luggage along the way. Good luck!
@alecclews: I used to be the same until I actually tried it .. and it's a hell of a lot of fun. I'm aiming for 34 mins this time .. did just under 39 back in October

Ah... now I understand, your capability for walking on water notwithstanding.

@LEMills Malach is the second coming - didn't you know?

@LEMills - yeah, the walking on water bit is fine, but it's a long way with a suitcase as well. The wheels on it don't handle water too well.

Ha! Good luck to you. Don't forget the zip-lock plastic bag for the fluidy things (assuming those regs are global)

@LEMills - no liquids going with me - making it easy :)

@LEMills that thing with fluids is a weird US/UK/Europe? thing. There are no such hoops to jump through to go to 'straya.

I take it back. They would like my squishy stuff in a bag. I wonder what they will make of the jar of pickles..
